God Is in Control

^“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

-John 16:33

You’re weary. You’re overworked. You’re tired.

As a father and the leader of your household, you feel overwhelmed with the responsibilities of your role. You’ve been stretched thin trying to be a Steadfast Dad and supportive husband.

Where will it all end?

Here is the truth: your human responsibilities on Earth will never end.

For as long as you are a father and husband, your responsibilities will never diminish. The workload will continue to feel hard. You will continue to feel like everything is beyond your control.

“In the world you will have tribulation,” the Bible tells us. We will always have to undergo trials and hardship.

But take heart. Find comfort in this. Know this in your soul—that God has overcome the world.

He alone can ease your weariness.

He alone can take your burdens.

He alone can bear your responsibilities.

He alone understands what you’re going through.

Put your trust in Him. You are not alone. Our God, the Creator of the universe, has overcome the world.

Through that, and only through that, can we find eternal peace.
