Let the Lord Build the House

“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.”

-Psalm 127:1

As fathers, we know that we are the leaders of our households. But while we might lead our families, we need to remember where the foundation lies.

Our foundation must be built on the Lord.

We can do everything right in the world’s eyes. We can be amazing husbands and fathers. We can work hard to support our families and still spend time with our kids.

But here’s the catch:

None of that matters if our foundation is not built on the Lord.

None of that matters if we do not let the Lord build the house.
